Known locally as Menara Condong - is a captivating blend of architectural ingenuity and historical significance. Erected in 1885 by Chinese builder Leong Choon Chong, this 25.5-meter-tall structure was originally designed as a water reservoir to serve the town's needs during dry seasons and emergencies. Its octagonal design, reminiscent of a Chinese pagoda, reflects the cultural influences of the local Chinese community at the time.

The tower's distinctive lean, which began four years after its construction, is attributed to the soft ground on which it stands and the weight of the water tank at its apex. Despite this, the structure has remained stable and continues to be a prominent landmark. The tower houses a clock, imported from London, that chimes every 15 minutes - a feature that has endured through the decades.

Visitors can ascend the tower's 110 steps to explore its three internal floors, which are cleverly designed to give the illusion of an eight-story building from the outside. Informational plaques throughout provide insights into the tower's rich history and architectural features.

Surrounding the tower, Teluk Intan offers a variety of attractions that complement a visit to this historical site. The nearby Hock Soon Keong Temple, a traditional Chinese temple, showcases intricate architecture and serves as a testament to the town's cultural heritage. For nature enthusiasts, the Teluk Intan Riverfront provides a scenic promenade along the Perak River, ideal for leisurely walks and sunset views.

Its enduring charm and the rich tapestry of experiences in its vicinity make it a must-visit destination for those exploring Malaysia's historical and cultural landscapes.
