Malaysia's oldest zoological park, established in 1961. Spanning 36 acres, this sanctuary is home to approximately 1,500 animals representing over 140 species, including majestic Malayan tigers, African lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes and orangutans. The zoo's design emphasizes naturalistic exhibits that mirror the animals' native habitats, offering visitors an immersive experience as they traverse the 2.5-kilometer trail through diverse ecosystems such as the Malaysian Rainforest, African Savanna and Riverine Forest.
As dusk descends, the zoo transforms into the pioneering Night Safari, Malaysia's first, inaugurated in 2003. This nocturnal adventure invites guests to observe the behaviors of animals under subtle, moonlight-mimicking illumination, enhancing the authenticity of the experience. A complimentary tram ride initiates the journey, guiding visitors through the serene nightscape, followed by the opportunity to explore on foot, attuned to the natural sounds and sights of the nocturnal world.
