An engineering marvel and the last of its kind in the country. Built in 1938 by F.W. Payne & Sons in England, this colossal 4,500-ton floating dredge was assembled in Perak and operated for 44 years until 1982, playing a pivotal role in the nation's tin industry.

Today, TT5 stands as a fully restored industrial heritage site, offering visitors an immersive journey through Malaysia's tin mining history. Guided tours provide a firsthand look at the inner workings of this "floating factory", showcasing the massive bucketline system and processing machinery that once extracted tin ore from the earth.

Beyond the dredge itself, the site features the TT5 Maze Park, a heart-shaped labyrinth designed to educate visitors on tin mining through interactive exhibits and art installations. This family-friendly attraction also includes a rabbit park and scenic spots for relaxation and photography.

Located approximately 40 minutes from Ipoh, TT5 is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except on Tuesdays. Admission tickets are available online, with guided tours scheduled hourly from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Embark on a journey through time and discover the rich tapestry of Malaysia's tin mining era at TT5, where history and innovation converge in a unique and educational experience.
