Commissioned by Dato' Seri Adika Raja Wan Muhammad Saleh, a prominent figure in Perak's administration. Established in 1912 during the reign of Sultan Idris Murshidul Al-Azzam Shah. Its construction was made possible through the generous contributions of local dignitaries, including Haji Mohamad Kassim bin Banjar Jagra, whose descendants continue to oversee the mosque's administration today.
Architecturally, Masjid Paloh is a unique blend of traditional Malay design infused with British colonial influences. Departing from the conventional dome structure, the mosque features a distinctive three-tiered pyramidal roof, reflecting vernacular Malay aesthetics. The original five-tiered minaret remains intact, serving as a prominent feature of the mosque's silhouette. Adjacent to the mosque lies the mausoleum of its founder, Wan Muhammad Saleh, characterized by a two-tiered gabled roof and enclosed by a half-wall with balustrades.
