Originally established in 1926 as a modest wooden structure, the mosque was reconstructed in 2017 through a collaborative effort between the Chinese Muslim Association and Yayasan Restu. The redesign was inspired by the concept of integrating "Doa" (prayers) as its central theme, resulting in a space adorned with intricate calligraphy and motifs that reflect a harmonious fusion of cultures.
The mosque's exterior is reminiscent of traditional Chinese temples, featuring a red-accented facade, green angled roofs and Chinese lattice bridge railings. A distinctive Jawi-scripted moongate welcomes visitors, symbolizing the intermingling of Islamic and Chinese cultures. Inside, the expansive prayer hall spans over 7,250 square feet and can accommodate more than 500 worshippers. The walls are adorned with sacred verses from the Quran and Hadith, while the pillars feature the Asma-ul-Husna (Names of Allah) rendered in Chinese calligraphy, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of local artisans.
