A captivating multi-tiered waterfall located along the Tapah–Cameron Highlands route (Route 59). Approximately 25 kilometers before reaching Ringlet, this natural marvel is easily accessible, making it a favored stop for travelers en route to the highlands.
The waterfall features a series of cascading granite tiers, culminating in a final drop of about 25 meters into a serene rock pool. Visitors can enjoy the cool, refreshing waters, with wading pools at the base suitable for families and children. Concrete staircases lead to the top of the main cascade, offering panoramic views of the surrounding rainforest.
The area is equipped with basic amenities to enhance visitor comfort. Gazebos and benches provide spots for relaxation and picnics, while nearby stalls offer local snacks, drinks and handicrafts crafted by the indigenous Orang Asli community. Restrooms are available and parking is free, though visitors should exercise caution when parking along the roadside, especially during weekends and public holidays when the area can become crowded.
Admission to Lata Iskandar is free and the site is open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Its accessibility and natural beauty make it an ideal spot for a brief respite amidst nature or a leisurely picnic with family and friends.
For those planning a visit, Lata Iskandar is located approximately 15 kilometers from Tapah town via Jalan Tapah to Cameron Highlands. Visitors are advised to wear appropriate footwear, as the rocks can be slippery and to be mindful of safety signs posted around the area.
