Just 5 kilometers from Ipoh's city center, Gunung Lang Recreational Park is a serene escape that blends natural beauty with family-friendly attractions. Spanning over 30 hectares, including a 14.16-hectare lake, the park is framed by the majestic limestone hills of Gunung Lang and Gunung Bilike.
Visitors can embark on a short boat ride across the lake, offering picturesque views of the surrounding karst formations.The park features a man-made cascading waterfall atop a limestone hill, a 2-kilometer boardwalk over a swamp and lookout towers that provide panoramic vistas.
For families, the Pavilion Petting Zoo is a highlight, housing 25 species of animals on a 1.8-hectare site. Adventure enthusiasts can explore the Gunung Lang Climbing Park, which offers over 20 climbing routes suitable for various skill levels.
The park is part of the Kinta Geopark, recognized for its geological, cultural and historical significance.Admission to the park is free, with a nominal fee for the boat ride: RM3 for adults and RM1.50 for children and seniors.
